Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Turn your Canadian experience into permanent residency
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is one of the most popular immigration pathways under Canada’s Express Entry system. Designed for skilled workers who have gained valuable work experience in Canada and want to become permanent residency.
What is the Canadian Experience Class?
The CEC is tailored for individuals who:
- Have at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada within the last three years.
- Gained their work experience while holding a valid temporary status, such as a work permit.
- Plan to live outside the province of Quebec.
This program recognizes the contributions of individuals who have already adapted to the Canadian labor market and lifestyle, making it easier for them to settle permanently.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the CEC, you must meet the following criteria:
- Work Experience: At least 12 months of full-time (or equivalent part-time) skilled work experience (in TEER 0,1,2,3) in Canada.
- Language Proficiency: Meet the minimum language requirements for your occupation (CLB 7 for NOC TEER 0 or 1; CLB 5 for NOC TEER 2 or 3).
- Education: While not required, having a recognized credential can improve your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score.
